Ibesa (Ibérico de Bellota, S.A) was founded in 1988 by a group of farmers in the Valley of Los Pedroches who, after several generations raising 100% Iberian acorn pigs, decided to go one step further and commercialize hams, palettes, loins and sausages.

Mrs. Rosa Ríos, director of the Industry section of the Junta de Andalucía, inaugurated the extension and technical health improvement of the facilities that has been carried out in two phases. In the first phase, the construction of two new drying rooms, a salting chamber area and the conditioning of the existing shipping area were carried out. In a second phase, the interior conditioning of the process area and cold storage rooms, the execution of the new freezing chamber and the acquisition of new technology machinery were carried out. Likewise, new software has been implemented that allows the control of all the elaboration processes and to know with total reliability the origin, sanity, origin and quality of each product that comes to the market. In addition, annexed to the existing building, a representative building is constructed to house the locker room and administrative area and thus delimit the office area of the production. The facilities follow the regulations for sale in Asian and American markets.

This extension puts the finishing touch to four years of work and is the first and second phase of the strategic plan of the company, whose ultimate goal is to double production and that all the copies that its members produce in the dehesas of the Los Pedroches are one hundred percent certified acorn pieces.

For this, Ibesa has trusted Nirosa, which has provided his engineering services as (EPCM (Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management). Nirosa, together with Ibesa, have sought the best technical health solutions for the development of the project, as well as to carry out the execution and technical control of the works, performing this flexibly adapted to customer needs.

In addition, Ibesa has relied on us for the drafting, management and monitoring of the subvention dossier, both for application and collection, with which the financial support of the European Union and the Junta de Andalucía has been obtained.
